bring 25+ new, verified pages in a UTC hour and you share that hour's creator fees with the other qualifiers. holding $hive boosts your share.

what is the queen?

an AI model that will be trained on this dataset, so it learns how crypto actually works. training hasn't started yet. when it does, real logs will show up here.

what does $hive do?

holding $hive boosts your hourly share (1M+ = 1.5x, 5M+ = 2x) and lets you vote on which sites get read next. pump.fun creator fees fill the hourly pot. ca coming soon. boosts, pots and voting go live at launch.

is any of this real?

yes. every crawler, page and token count on this page comes from the live database. no numbers are made up, and anyone can download the dataset.

new here?

the basics, in plain english

never heard of crawling, tokens or rounds? here's everything in 30 seconds.

what is crawling?

a crawler opens a web page, pulls out the readable text, then follows its links to find more pages. search engines do this to the whole web. here, your browser tab does it for public crypto docs, one page every couple of seconds.

what is a crawler (your spider)?

the small program running in your tab while you crawl. each crawler gets its own unique spider, built from its name, so you can watch yours walk around the page and carry what it reads to the queen. rarity is just for looks.

what is the queen?

a community AI model that will be trained on everything the hive reads, so it learns how crypto actually works. training hasn't started yet. real logs will show up here when it does.

what is a dataset? tokens?

the dataset is all the cleaned text the hive has collected, free for anyone to download. AI models read text in small chunks called tokens (about 4 characters each), so we measure its size in tokens.

what is a round?

each UTC hour is a round. bring 25 or more new pages that pass the server's spot-check in that hour and you qualify to share that hour's creator fees, split by verified pages × boost.

what is $hive for?

it's optional: you never need it to crawl. holding it boosts your round share (1M+ = 1.5x, 5M+ = 2x) and lets you vote on which sites get read next. ca coming soon. not financial advice.

is it safe? what can it access?

it only asks our server for pages from a fixed allowlist of public crypto sites, and the server fetches them for it. it can't touch your files, other tabs or wallet. verifying a wallet is a free signature, never a transaction.

does it cost anything?

no money, no signup, no install. it uses a little bandwidth and cpu while the tab is open, so on metered mobile data you may want to stop after a while. close the tab and it stops.

nest · asleep, fed the queen in the last 24h

one creature per real crawler. its look and rarity (common 70% · rare 20% · epic 8% · legendary 2%) come from the crawler's name, so they never change. rarity is cosmetic only. when a crawler sends in a page, its creature carries it to the queen. sleeping crawlers rest in the nest.

how it works: each UTC hour is a round. only new pages count, and only after the server spot-checks them against the live page (duplicates and unverifiable pages don't count). bring 25+ and you qualify. your share = your verified pages × your holder boost, divided by everyone's. the pot = pump.fun creator fees earned on $hive that hour.

to earn: crawl with a solana address and verify it by signing a message in your wallet (free, no transaction). nickname-only and unverified crawlers still feed the queen but can't earn. boosts from your live $hive balance: under 1M = 1x, 1M+ = 1.5x, 5M+ = 2x.

status: ca coming soon, so pots and boosts show "pending". nothing is sent automatically: each closed round produces a public payout plan, and payouts are sent by hand once approved, with tx links shown here. not financial advice. payouts depend on creator fees actually earned; there may be none, and amounts can be small.

coming soon (not built yet): optional $hive burn perks like creature skins and queue-jump. crawling stays free.

      F1faq · man hivemind
      is it safe?

yes. the crawler is plain javascript running in a sandboxed web worker in this tab. it can only ask our server for pages on a fixed list of public crypto sites (docs, EIPs, github readmes, dao forums). the server fetches them for you with size and time limits and blocks anything private. nothing gets installed and your files, wallet and other tabs are never touched.

      what is crawling?

a crawler opens a web page, pulls out the readable text and follows the links on it to find more pages. search engines crawl the whole web. hivemind crawls a fixed list of public crypto sites, and your tab does the work while it's open.

what is a crawler / spider?

your crawler is the small program running in this tab when you press start. it's shown as a unique spider (built from its name) that walks around the page and carries each page it reads to the queen. rarity is cosmetic only.

      what is the queen?

a community AI model that will be trained on the hive's dataset. training hasn't started yet, so the page says "training pending" until a real run begins.

what is a dataset? what are tokens?

the dataset is every cleaned, de-duplicated page the hive has read, free to download. tokens are the small chunks of text AI models read (roughly 4 characters each), so dataset size is counted in tokens.

      what is a round?

each UTC hour is a round. crawlers with 25+ new pages that pass the server's spot-check in that hour qualify, and that hour's creator fees are split by verified pages × boost. see the rounds panel.

what is a boost? what does "verify wallet" mean?

a boost multiplies your round share based on your live $hive balance: 1x under 1M, 1.5x at 1M+, 2x at 5M+. "verify wallet" means signing a short message in your wallet to prove you own the address you crawl with. it's free and never a transaction.

      what is $hive for?

optional. holding it boosts your share of each round and lets you vote on which sites get read next. crawling never needs it. ca coming soon, so boosts and pots show "pending". not financial advice.

what does my browser actually do?

about every 2 seconds it asks for a page, gets the page's text through our proxy, strips the html, fingerprints it (sha-256) so duplicates get skipped, counts roughly how many tokens it holds, and sends that text back. that's all it does: some network requests and a bit of cpu.

      does it cost me anything?

no money, no wallet, no signup. it uses a little bandwidth (pages are usually tens of kb, capped at 1.5 mb) and a little cpu while the tab is open. on a metered mobile connection you might want to stop it after a while.

      can i stop anytime?

yes. press stop or just close the tab. nothing keeps running afterwards and there's nothing to uninstall.

      what happens to the data?

pages are deduplicated and stored as an open dataset that anyone can download as jsonl. it's meant for training the queen. no training run has started yet.

do i need $hive to crawl?

no. crawling is free and always will be. holding $hive boosts your hourly share and lets you vote on what gets read next. both go live when the token launches (ca coming soon).

how does this relate to crawlnet?

hivemind is a sister hive to crawlnet, and was inspired by it: they pretrain, we crowd-crawl. we're an independent community project, not affiliated with or endorsed by crawlnet, and we're cheering them on.

      how do i earn?

paste your solana address as your identity, press start, then press "verify wallet" and sign the message in phantom (it's free, not a transaction). every UTC hour, crawlers with 25+ new verified pages split that hour's pump.fun creator fees by verified pages × holder boost (1x under 1M $hive, 1.5x at 1M+, 2x at 5M+). see the rounds panel and /api/rounds.

      is earning guaranteed?

no. the pot is only what creator fees actually come in that hour. it can be tiny or zero, and the ca isn't live yet, so pots show "pending". payouts are sent by hand from the public payout plan, not automatically. none of this is financial advice.
